Our Executive Director
Laura Easley has been working in schools for over two decades, as a teacher, a school leader, a parent volunteer, and as school and/or district support staff. She has taught ages 2.5 to adult; written or co-written curriculum in subjects from algebra to fashion design to engineering to phonics acquisition; and led change in schools from São Paolo to Sydney; from Hawai’i to Massachusetts. She designs evaluation systems, leads professional development, and coaches school leaders towards more belonging, empathy, and agency within the school community.

Our Board President
Alex Wenzel (Just ‘Ms. Alex’) has been in school leadership since 2017 in schools across Denver. Her educational career has led from teaching math and biology to leadership and consultancy roles in global learning, mathematics, educational technology, service learning and instructional coaching. Alex has worked and lived as an educator in South Korea, Venezuela, Singapore, Wisconsin and Denver.
Our Board Vice President
Jennifer Roglà, Ph.D., is the Global Director of Monitoring, Evaluation, Research, and Learning (MERL) at iDE, a market-based development nonprofit with operations in 12 countries. She ensures iDE’s measurement efforts are inclusive, participatory, and ethical while also designing and implementing research, measurement strategy, conducting data analyses, and promoting thought leadership. She is a former Fulbright-Hays Scholar with extensive social science research experience in Asia, Africa, and Latin America. In her early career, she spent eight years directing international collaborations and partnerships in higher education, and taught undergraduate and graduate courses in the U.S. and Costa Rica.
Our Board Treasurer
TyAmber Whitaker is a Colorado native and a product of Denver Public and Aurora Public Schools. She gained her undergraduate degree in Psychology from Metropolitan State University of Denver. TyAmber has pursued her desire to help children and families working in the medical, mental, and behavioral health fields for over fifteen years, currently working with EveryChild Pediatrics. She believes there are no failures in life, only lessons. The challenging part of life is what a person chooses to do with those lessons. TyAmber is the proud mother of two DPS scholars who motivate and teach her something new every day.
Our Board Secretary
Oscar Gonzalez is the Director of Equity and Inclusivity at Graland Country Day School in Denver, CO, and Co-Chair of the National Association of Independent School’s annual Student Diversity Leadership Conference, a 30-year-old training ground drawing over 1,800 high school students nationwide. Keeping students’ best interests front of mind, he creates a sense of belonging and works to ensure everyone feels welcome and included. He educates others on issues of equity, inclusion, and belonging.
